The work process of Digitalus Webdesign
Digitalus Webdesign has an uniform approach for investigating the wishes of the clients and make an offer for a website. The steps in the process are divided in the following stages:
* Stage 1: in this stage the client has an appointment with the account manager to discuss the wishes of the website. Based on this appointment, the account manager makes a list with functionalities. Based on this list of functionalities an hour indication is made by the project manager in consultation with the designer/developer. The final step of this stage is the offer.
* Stage
2: when the offer is approved a technical specification will
be written. The technical specification contains all the functionalities of the
website.
* Stage
3: based on the wishes of the client and the technical
specification, the design will be made. The client has a couple of feedback
rounds to give the designer the possibility to fine-tune the design.
* Stage
4: after the design is approved by the client, the
development starts. The first stage of the development is the front-end
development. xHTML and CSS are used to show the website in a correct way on the
screen.
* Stage
5: development. After the xHTML and CSS are ready the
development of the website starts. The website will be built according to the
functionalities as described in the technical specification.
* Stage
6: testing stage. In this stage the website will be tested by
Digitalus Webdesign and the client. The
testing will take place on a secured testing server before the website is put
finally online.
* Stage
7: release of the website. The website will be put online
and Google Analytics will be installed in the source code to give the client
the opportunity to view the visitor statistics of the website.
The process described above can be extended by adding some
specialist to the team which are specialized in interaction design and
prototyping. Before the project starts a blueprint will be made of the website.
By doing this, bottlenecks are discovered in an early stage and this offers us
the possibility to develop a more effective website for you. The other
advantage is, is that the time for development can be made shorter.
By following the steps in the process, the client is always aware of the status of the project. A stage will not be finished before we have had consultation with you.
